Ancona, July 25, 2026 – Total block of the regional Cup (Single booking center) of the Marche region this morning. The disruption lasted from 8.30 to 14.30, for six hours throughout the region it was not possible to make reservations for specialist visits and diagnostic tests by phone, with the app, online or through pharmacies: a total paralysis that created inconvenience and concern.
Councillor Calcinaro: “I’m quite angry”
“I’m quite angry – commented the Councillor for Health Paolo Calcinaro on his Facebook profile as soon as the service restarted – . We are truly doing everything to increase bookings and appointments, then this inconvenience happens.”
The Cup Marche software has been operational for 15 years
Councillor Calcinaro recalls that “the Cup Marche software has been operational for about fifteen years and situations like these can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Now the company that manages it will have to explain what happened and indicate the solutions so that it doesn’t happen again.”
What happened
The reason for the block would have already been identified. “It seems to be strictly technical – clarifies Calcinaro – the IT specialists are dealing with it and in any case, penalties apply in these cases. What interests the Region is that the inconvenience does not happen again, especially now that we are trying to increase the number of appointments and services with the commitment to reduce waiting lists.”
