Montese (Modena), August 2, 2026 – A fight ended in blood this morning in Montese.
It seems that following an argument a man of foreign origin, Daouda Sangaré, a welder about 30 years old, was stabbed and, despite prompt rescue efforts, did not make it.
The murder took place inside a two-story building on via Righi, a central area of the town.
On site the carabinieri and the 118 helicopter. One man is in custody.

The victim of the Montese murder is Daouda Sangaré, about 30 years old, a welder by profession, originally from Ivory Coast. He leaves behind his wife who had joined him in Italy less than a month ago.

The Scientific Unit of the carabinieri has just arrived on site
The mayor of Montese Carlo Castagnoli, informed of the event, says: ‘”There was a prompt intervention by the police and rescue services, we trust the investigations to clarify the dynamics”.
One person is said to have already been detained.
