The Grand Hotel of Riccione remains under seizure: bars and venues closed

Riccione (Rimini), August 19, 2026 – The Grand Hotel of Riccione remains under seizure. After the raid by the Guardia di Finanza, the judge of the Rimini Court validated the urgent seizure ordered by the Prosecutor’s Office and simultaneously ordered the “preventive blocking seizure” of the entire real estate and business complex attributable to the bankrupt company, Marebello spa. The investigation involves various people in different capacities, including Gianni Andreatta, head of Marebello spa, declared bankrupt in 2023.

The hypotheses formulated by the Prosecutor’s Office include, in various capacities, fraudulent bankruptcy by diversion, false corporate communications, and preferential bankruptcy. The seizure concerns the entire complex on Viale Gramsci, including the pool, garden, and appurtenances, but not only that. The long list also includes the Torre ’900, consisting of 15 apartments, and Villa Bruna. The restriction then extends to a series of well-known activities and venues in Riccione: the Grand Hotel bar café, the ice cream shop Crema e Cioccolato, the Dejavu bar, the restaurant Indaco, the Rta Villa Bianca and Paco Paco on the seafront. However, not everything has been seized.

The judge in fact rejected part of the requests made by the Prosecutor’s Office. Therefore, the companies G.Y.F. srl, Paco Beach srls, Oasi snc and the Contatto association, as well as their respective bank accounts and financial assets, remain outside the measure. The Court also appointed a judicial administrator, lawyer Luca Giannini, who is entrusted with the custody and management of the entire seized complex.

Starting bid of 24.9 million euros, minimum raise of 250 thousand euros

“The judge – emphasized lawyer Stefano Caroli who, together with colleague Anna Maria Putignano, assists the suspects – recognized some points favorable to the defense’s argument. In particular, in his order he highlighted how some of the companies that managed Marebello’s properties had valid contracts with it made at times not under suspicion and, for this reason, did not consider the seizures against them valid. At the same time, he pointed out that it was not appropriate to appoint the same bankruptcy trustee as administrator of the sealed assets and, for this reason, appointed another. We are quite satisfied with this result but, in any case, we will file an appeal with the Review Court.” It should not be forgotten that the Grand Hotel is already included in a sale procedure scheduled for September 23. The starting bid is 24 million and 864 thousand euros, with minimum raises of 250 thousand euros.
