Bazzano (Bologna), August 20, 2026 – The music he loved. And then the photos, so many photos, scrolling on the big screen behind the coffin, the happiest shots to pay tribute to ‘Crema’: there he is on stage with the indispensable guitar, then him hugging his parents, and again him proudly showing a bottle of amaro. Him smiling, calm, looking at the camera, a small tattooed guitar on his forearm.
The pain, heartbreaking, flows along with those images in the funeral home set up today in Bazzano for Alberto Cremonini, 19 years old, hit by a car on July 2 right after his high school diploma, just out of the Righi high school, and died after 45 days of agony in hospital last Sunday. The driver of the car, a 59-year-old man, is now under investigation for vehicular manslaughter.
In Bazzano, relatives and friends of Alberto take turns, a friend brings a rose. “Life with you was a wonderful journey, even if too short, through a flowering garden where you knew how to pick the most beautiful flowers for us. We will carry you in our hearts and in our minds always, always, always,” the phrase shared on Alberto’s memorial card.
The affection of the father’s colleagues
They cry together, inside an immense pain that no one knows how to fill.
Outside the funeral home, also two former colleagues of Ivano, Alberto’s father, “I called him at mid-August to wish him well – one of them recounts –, he told me that his son had been hit on the crosswalk and that he was in bad shape. We didn’t even know he had had an accident.” Yesterday, “Ivano kept the phone off all the time.” Alberto was an only child. His parents’ pain is unimaginable, but “very composed,” say the former colleagues, describing a beautiful family, very polite, reserved, religious.
The funeral
Tonight at 9 pm the prayer vigil in the parish church of Calcara. Tomorrow, for those who wish, there will still be the possibility to say goodbye to Alberto in the funeral home at Parini Funeral Home in Bazzano. The funeral will be on Saturday at 11 am in the parish church of Calcara, then proceeding to the local cemetery. The painful announcement is made by mother Roberta, father Ivano, grandmothers Ines and Chiara, all relatives. The family informs that donations to Ant are appreciated.
