Ten years ago, at Rio 2016, she was in fact the coach of the Russian Margarita Mamun, Olympic gold medalist in the individual all-around.

For Sofia, it will be the opportunity to officially return to the floor with Ginnastica Fabriano after the world championship break. The Italian rhythmic gymnastics team championship, with Serie A1, A2, and B, will start on October 17, 2026, in Terni, at the Umbriaforum.
This year, Ginnastica Fabriano will not organize any trials, interrupting a tradition that for years saw the city as a protagonist of the major event of Italian rhythmic gymnastics. In the past, the competitions were held at PalaGuerrieri in Fabriano.
After the closure of the facility, the organization was transferred to Ancona. The hope is that, with the completion of the work at the Palas, Fabriano can soon host one of the championship stages again. The 2026 Serie A and B calendar includes four events: October 17-18: Terni, Umbriaforum; October 31-November 1: Biella, Palasport; November 14-15: Livorno, Modigliani Forum; November 27-29: Bergamo, ChorusLife Arena, with the fourth event and Final Six/Playoff.
