Cervia (Ravenna), September 4, 2026 – In this hot end of the season there is a beach resort that has decided to close the bar and the restaurant, keeping only the beach open.
This is happening in Cervia, just a stone’s throw from the Grand Hotel, where on Thursday there were many criticisms on social media against the owners of Bagno Miluna 209. Some spoke of escape and early closure with umbrellas and sunbeds already rented for September. However, the owners deny all accusations and threaten to take detractors to court.

“We have not run away, we had to transfer the employees”
The management of the establishment is handled by KM3, a trust fund of five families from the province of Reggio Emilia that manages various activities. Paolo Vecchi, the company’s administrator, responds to the criticisms: “We have not run away at all, we are here and we give umbrellas and sunbeds for free for this end of the season. In recent weeks we have acquired two venues in the center of Bologna, the Moretto and the Bistrot Libreria, and it is precisely from these new acquisitions that the need arose to close the bar and the restaurant of Miluna. We had to transfer the employees of the establishment to the two new activities, and so we decided to close the bar and the restaurant of the beach resort.”

“A business choice”
“It was a business choice – continues Vecchi –, just as previously it had been to give umbrellas and sunbeds for free to customers who booked a table at the restaurant. The decision to move the employees to Moretto and the Bistrot is also driven by the desire to retain human resources and guarantee work all year round and not only in summer.”

“In Bologna we bring the same suppliers we work with at Miluna”
Vecchi defends the company and claims the quality of the work done in Cervia: “We work with our own resources and have no debts with banks. We are solid and solvent in everything, so much so that in Bologna we bring the same suppliers we work with at Miluna. In this beach resort we invested 470 thousand euros to redo the kitchen, renovate the bar and purchase new equipment and furnishings. This can fuel envy and jealousy, but we continue on our path. In fact, with our technical office we are already preparing all the documentation to participate in the tenders provided by the Bolkestein directive, precisely because we have invested a lot and we believe in it.”
