A 44-year-old from Campagnola Emilia died this evening after his Citroën C3 overturned off the road and hit a tree. The accident occurred around 9:15 PM on via Grande in Campagnola, near the intersection with via Picenardi.

The crash attracted the residents
The noise of the terrible crash attracted the residents, who along with other passing drivers immediately alerted the emergency services. The Red Cross emergency medical vehicle from Novellara and the ambulance arrived at the scene immediately, but the condition of the man behind the wheel appeared desperate from the start.
The death
The 44-year-old indeed passed away after a few minutes, in front of the rescuers, making any attempt by the 118 paramedics to resuscitate him futile. The dynamics of the accident suggest that the car was traveling at high speed. No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
