Fabriano (Ancona), September 18, 2026 — There are stories that travel around Italy and then return home, to the place where it all began. For Giorgia Cardinaletti the moment has arrived, according to reliable sources the Tg1 journalist and Francesco Bechis, journalist of Il Messaggero, will get married on Saturday, October 10 in Fabriano, in the Cathedral of San Venanzio, in Piazza Amedeo di Savoia II, just steps from the places where the Rai journalist was born and raised. After rumors that only indicated autumn and the Marche region as the wedding setting, now the date and place of the wedding are known.
The banns had already appeared at the Rome City Hall, where the couple resides.
Cardinaletti-Bechis, the relationship
It will therefore be Fabriano to frame the most important chapter of the relationship between Cardinaletti and Bechis, which reached marriage after just over a year.
A choice that brings the journalist back to her city precisely on the day she will celebrate the bond with her colleague, son of journalist Franco Bechis. Their story remained away from the spotlight for a long time: the first sightings date back to the end of 2025, while the relationship became progressively more visible in the following months.
The first public meeting took place on the occasion of the Graldi Award ceremony, where Bechis received the recognition in the Under-35 category. Then the appearances together, until the confirmation arrived in 2026 and the ring appeared on Cardinaletti’s finger in June, interpreted as a sign of engagement. The couple, eight years apart according to published reconstructions, nevertheless chose to live the relationship with a certain discretion.
The Rai journalist’s previous relationships: the love with Cremonini
Before Bechis, the journalist’s love life had been in the spotlight especially for the relationship with Cesare Cremonini.
The bond with the singer-songwriter began in 2022 and was mostly lived away from public exposure. However, images of the two together fueled growing curiosity, up to the participation in the wedding of Pecco Bagnaia and Domizia Castagnini in 2024 in Pesaro.
The story then ended after about a year and a half. Cremonini, speaking later about that relationship, defined it as an important chapter also for his own music, linking it to the birth of “Ragazze facili” and recounting that he received from Cardinaletti a push to find “the courage to love.”
The relationship with Francesco Caldarola
A story much followed, but which both always tried to protect from excessive exposure. In the journalist’s past there is also the remembered relationship with Francesco Caldarola, journalist and television author, while after Cremonini there was also speculation about a fling with La7 journalist Giuseppe Ferrante, never however confirmed by those directly involved and therefore remaining in the realm of rumors. Now the gossip gives way to the certainty of the date. On October 10, in Fabriano, Cardinaletti and Bechis will say their yes in the city that represents her roots. A return home for the journalist, which also becomes the official beginning of a new family.
