San Marino, September 19, 2026 – There are dreams that sometimes come true and, for many of the children present today at the 28th edition of Sport in Fiera in San Marino, that goal was to meet Kimi Andrea Antonelli, Mercedes driver leading the Formula 1 championship, and it happened.
Kimi Antonelli’s dream: “I want to become one of the greatest drivers ever”
An incredible show took place this morning on the occasion of the inaugural cut of the event, in the presence of first-year middle school students, institutions, Sammarinese champions, and the public. At the meeting, Antonelli confessed his “secret” desire: “I want to become world champion and then become one of the greatest of all time.”
“In San Marino I feel at home”
On the occasion, the champion spoke about his relationship with San Marino: “I moved here just over a year ago and I feel very good. It is very peaceful and I also like it a lot. Over time I appreciate it more and more. It is helping me in today’s success.”
The children’s embrace: “Go Kimi”
The show, however, started before Antonelli made his appearance at the Sport in Fiera event. The wait was indeed magical. At one point, the music was almost completely overpowered by the shouts of dozens of children, very happy to see their idol up close. Dozens of little fans, all in chorus, began to chant his name: “Go Kimi, go Kimi.” A hug of enthusiasm and affection that turned the wait into a truly special moment.
