Valles (Bolzano), July 16, 2026 – Children are the voice of truth. And that is why the evening with the young fans in Valles is always the most feared by Bologna’s coaches. Now Domenico Tedesco knows this too, tonight the subject of the unfiltered curiosity of the small rossoblù delegation, in Piazza Casa della Cultura, which traditionally hosts the event, hosted by journalist Filippo Cotti (and broadcast on Trc).

There was barely time for the new coach to warm up when the Big Question, the summer’s catchphrase, landed on the stage: which of your players would you least want to be sold? “That’s a good one, huh…”, Tedesco replies and with a bit of dialectical construction from below, he breaks free from the tight marking, much to the relief of the moms and dads in the audience who hoped for a public confirmation of Rowe or Castro. But the market is long and unpredictable. Like the sky over Valles which, as usual, settles the score: it starts to rain heavily, with the audience taking shelter under the roofs. The children don’t flinch and keep going.
They move on to the coach: what formation will you play? “A formation definitely with a back four. We’ll see about the rest.” And again: what convinced you to choose Bologna? “The passion of the fans. Coming here I achieved a big goal of mine, which was to coach in Serie A.” He is asked which player has impressed the new coach the most so far: “There are many who are surprising me, also because I didn’t know them. I can say we have many strong players.” But another child insists and so Tedesco gives him a name: “If I have to name one, I say Lollo: he manages everything, he’s a bit like our Mike Bongiorno.”

Between a question about tortellini (“even though I ate them in summer, the ones in broth made me say ‘wow’… not with cream”) and one about superpowers (“if it were possible, choosing to be able to see the future”), the microphone returns again to the infamous question: who would you least want to be sold? And here too the coach plays his joker: “If you really insist, I still say Lollo.” There is also room for a small life lesson, with a simile that sounds familiar to the little supporters: “We have to train a lot, like at school: if you don’t study at home, you’re not prepared.”
Children love to receive promises, because they often mean gifts. So: what do you promise us fans? “That we will give our best to make you happy: I think you had a lot of fun playing the cups. I also played the Champions and the Europa League and I have to say I really enjoyed it.”
