Jesolo (Venice), August 30, 2026 – The firefighters intervened around 6:30 p.m. off Jesolo, in the Lighthouse area, for a fire on a yacht about 20 meters long, about a hundred meters from the shore.

The ten people on board were evacuated by the Harbor Master’s Office.
On site were the team from the Venice Maritime detachment, the divers of the Regional Unit from Mestre, and the helicopter from the Venice Flight Department, equipped with a bucket, to perform water drops from above.
Zaia: “Thanks to the rescuers”
Sharing the images of the fire on his social profiles was the president of the Veneto Regional Council Luca Zaia, who in a few minutes informed his followers about what was happening.

As seen in one of the videos, the firefighters’ helicopter flew over the boat several times, dropping water from above to tame the fire. The very tall column of black smoke alarmed all the bathers who were spending Sunday afternoon on the beach, who were able to capture the fire from the very first moments after the alarm was raised.
