Zocca (Modena), July 23, 2026 – It is now a tradition of the Zocca summer: this year too, Vasco Rossi visited the Town Hall for the usual meeting with the municipal administration. On Tuesday, the rocker from Zocca met with Mayor Federico Ropa, the members of the municipal council, and the municipal secretary. He was accompanied by his manager Floriano Fini and his inseparable friends Otello ‘Otis’ Righetti and Rudi Violi, regular presences in the afternoons at Bibap for the usual card game.

“Here in Zocca he has his places of the heart”
“It was a very pleasant meeting, as always – says Mayor Federico Ropa –. Vasco told us that he feels very good in his town, because here he has friends, family, and above all, his places of the heart. He likes to be in nature, go for walks, and ride his mountain bike, moments that allow him to rest, relax, and reconnect with the environment after the stress of tours.”

Vasco’s summer return to Zocca continues to have a strong impact on the territory. The number of fans increases every year.
“We have crazy numbers, Vasco told us” – explains Ropa –. Among the many people who arrive, there are also some who are more agitated than necessary, but overall these are manageable situations. Vasco is here on vacation: he is available, and as he always repeats, he is not at everyone’s disposal. When he feels like it, he gladly stops for photos and autographs.”
The rocker’s presence represents a resource for the local economy. “Vasco made a joke saying that when he is in Zocca, if the GDP grows, it’s also thanks to him – says the mayor –. We hope he can stay here longer and longer, because his presence brings significant benefits for commerce, public establishments, and all activities in the town.”

‘Zocca, Town of Music’
During the meeting, there was also talk of the initiatives born thanks to the bond between Vasco and Zocca, starting with the ‘Zocca Paese della Musica’ festival, which this year too was a great success. The initiative continues to grow in quality and participation, especially promoting young musical groups. The ten selected groups had the opportunity to perform in front of the public before Vasco’s tour concerts. “The award is helping to raise the level of the participants – emphasizes Ropa – because it offers young people the chance to get involved and gain great visibility.”
Vasco, 50th career anniversary
There had to be a reference to the singer’s next important milestone: his 50th career anniversary, which Vasco will celebrate with ten concerts at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
Zocca might also prepare something for the occasion, but the mayor remains tight-lipped about the project: “We talked about it, we’ll see.”
At the end of the meeting at the Town Hall, there were plenty of photos and autographs with the administrators. Then Vasco Rossi moved to Bibap for the card game, where numerous fans who had come to Zocca to meet their idol were waiting for him.
