Bologna, July 25, 2026 – Bad weather again in Emilia Romagna, after yesterday’s yellow **alert** for thunderstorms valid in the provinces of Ferrara, Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena and Rimini, a new one has been issued valid for **tomorrow, Sunday, July 26**, this time **extended to the entire regional territory** always for thunderstorms. The worsening of weather conditions should begin already this afternoon with widespread cloudiness that will then bring rain.
This new wave with possible **thunderstorms and cloudbursts** should end by Monday afternoon, accompanied by Maestrale wind.
The bulletin
“For Sunday, July 26 – reads the Arpae bulletin – **thunderstorms, locally of strong intensity** are expected with possible associated effects and damages which, in the morning, will mainly affect the Apennine ridge and the western Emilian plain and from the afternoon also the central/eastern one, with a tendency to rapid exhaustion. **In the areas affected by thunderstorms, occasional landslides**, runoff and rapid rises in hydrometric levels in watercourses and the minor network, as well as localized urban flooding, are not excluded.”

“Thunderstorms in two phases”
According to what is reported on the **Facebook Meteo Roby** page, by meteorologist **Roberto Nanni**, the **thunderstorms** will be **“divided into two phases:** a **first passage** of thunderstorms in the morning, from West to East, affecting a good part of the Region, possible intense rains and **strong linear gusts** here. Exhaustion of phenomena by noon/early afternoon everywhere. A **second phase** between afternoon and early evening with new thunderstorms moving from West-South West towards East-North East. Here thunderstorms, even **supercells**, are currently more difficult to locate but remain more probable over the central and eastern areas of the Region.”
“Thunderstorm line that from the Piacenza area would affect the entire region”
“The weekend will begin with sun in Emilia-Romagna but on Saturday afternoon cloudiness will gradually increase from West to East – explains **Emilia Romagna Meteo** -. On Sunday, however, widespread instability is expected in our region. According to some models, a **thunderstorm line could form that would affect the entire region from the Piacenza area**, from approximately 6 am to 12 pm. Subsequently, the sun would alternate with some scattered afternoon showers. More details tomorrow.”
