Bologna, July 27, 2026 – These are the final moments, those just before Abderrahim Fakir loses consciousness, those captured in a video of about ten seconds, recorded by the bodycam of one of the two officers involved and in which the intervention of another civilian can also be seen during the handcuffing phase.
Who is the other civilian approaching
A man, barefoot, who approaches Fakir to take his arm and make a gesture to facilitate the handcuffing operation. An intervention that appears spontaneous from the video, not requested by the officers, just like the other civilian involved: the one without a shirt who was filmed in several videos holding Fakir by the ankles.
There would be 4 citizens helping the police officers
According to the reconstructions emerging as the investigations progress, it seems that in total there were four people – who were neither police officers nor the four 118 paramedics now noted in the model 45bis file – who somehow interacted with Fakir during the restraint. Another is precisely the man whom the bodycam captures bending over Fakir in the final handcuffing phase, taking his shoulder.
