Bologna, July 27, 2026 – Fear on via Irnerio due to a bomb alert, which was called off after a few hours following the intervention of the carabinieri and the bomb disposal squad, who checked the contents of the abandoned object. The street was closed from via Centotrecento to Porta San Donato, but restoration operations for traffic flow are underway.

According to reports, an abandoned trolley was found, along with a small bag, at the bus stop heading towards Montagnola. The luggage is placed at the Porta San Donato shelter.
As a complete precaution, while operators are working to check the contents of the suspicious object, the street has been closed, inaccessible from via Centotrecento to Porta San Donato.
Traffic is therefore blocked and long queues have formed on the via Irnerio side. The bomb disposal experts are already working on the suitcase, with the attached bag.
