“Meloni dead, infamous fascists” was written on steps at Bonvi Parken. Among the first to report it, Senator Michele Barcaiuolo, regional coordinator of Fratelli d’Italia, who speaks of “a vile and intimidating act that strikes not only a person, but democratic institutions as a whole. And I hope that all political forces have the intellectual honesty to condemn what happened”.
“Full solidarity with the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, recipient of shocking writings” also comes from the group leader of FdI in the Chamber, Galeazzo Bignami. “We hope that these cowards who foment a climate of hatred and political intolerance will be brought to justice and that a unanimous condemnation from political forces will arrive,” he adds.
“As the Democratic Party – says the city secretary of Modena Diego Lenzini – we express our firm condemnation for the writings containing threats directed at Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni”.
“What appeared at Bonvi Park is unacceptable to us in a democratic context – continues Lenzini – and we believe that civil debate, even with legitimate diversity of opinions and political orientations, cannot be called into question by acts and threats of this type”.
