Reggio Emilia, June 5, 2026 – Ferenc Venturelli, known on the web as Eterno, despite his young age (twenty years old), has often found himself at the center of controversy and verbal clashes, linked to different political opinions. But never before had the young Reggio activist of the Lega experienced direct physical violence, the aggression of several people armed with bottles, even a knife, ready to strike without even thinking about the potential serious consequences.
For Venturelli, it will be truly difficult to forget his first visit to Parma. Last night, in fact, he was attacked, hit with kicks and punches, even risking a stab wound, saving himself only thanks to the timely intervention of a friend who did not hesitate to approach the scene of the clash using a large amount of irritating spray.
What happened: the minute-by-minute aggression
“Around 6:30 PM – Eterno recounts – we were still in the center of Parma, in the Via Verdi area, where we were completing the creation of some videos for our future Stories, to be published on the web. We were approached by some young people of African origin, apparently annoyed by the fact that we were taking pictures. We replied that we were filming ourselves and not them. But one of those foreigners did not accept our version and approached menacingly, brandishing a glass bottle. We moved away to avoid the violent aggression. But they chased us. There were at least twenty of them. When I saw my friend risking being hit by a bottle, I approached with the spray. And there, five of them grabbed me, throwing me to the ground to hit me with kicks and punches”.

A knife also appeared in the hands of one of the attackers. “My friend noticed it and ran towards us, using the spray, which finally put them to flight. Meanwhile, other people, attracted by the screams, were approaching.” Venturelli is sure he was known by his attackers. “As they approached, one of them told me “Lega supporter of s…“.

This phrase leads me to believe they knew who I am. Ferenc was reached by police and military personnel on duty in the area, and then taken to the emergency room by ambulance to treat injuries that would heal in 15 days. “My reflection? That in this first physical aggression, I truly felt fear. Fortunately, my friend’s intervention prevented one of those men from using the knife against me. I am not against immigrants, but against those who choose not to integrate, who use violence. Even if born in Italy and second-generation immigrants, they should be identified, condemned, and sent back to their country of origin for the seriousness of their actions”.
People’s comments while waiting for help
Venturelli also felt a sense of exasperation among the people who approached him while he was waiting for medical assistance. “Among the people in the neighborhood, residents and passers-by, there were those who shouted their anger about the situation that has arisen in that area and beyond. People say they can no longer tolerate violence, constant danger, open-air drug dealing in broad daylight, without any protection for honest people. I felt like I was in a hostile environment, like those represented by drug dealing squares when journalists arrive to produce reports. I also had the impression that they were not afraid of anything, not even the area’s video surveillance cameras or the legal consequences of their violent behavior. It was an experience that will be difficult to forget”.
