Pinarella di Cervia (Ravenna), August 4, 2026 – There is a second potentially groundbreaking video to solve the mystery of Nicola Musiani’s murder. It is the one captured by the dash cam of a truck, showing 7-8 young people quickly leaving the crime scene. The expression may be somewhat old-fashioned journalism: but it is clear that the circle is closing. And it is closing in on a group of young people living in the Forlì area who, not too long ago, were involved in similar incidents, even inside a bar. People accustomed to throwing punches and for reasons not exactly noble, if such reasons can exist.
Certainly, Musiani – 54 years old and a life full of struggles marked by problems and a kind of self-alienation, so much so that he lived in a camper on the same lot on Viale Tritone in Pinarella di Cervia where he was beaten to death – was a physically harmless individual: he posed no threat of any kind to any living being.
A brutal assault: Nicola’s days of agony
Yet on the night between July 18 and 19 he was beaten mercilessly with kicks and punches to the head and chest even when he was already on the ground. Then he got up, perhaps in a last attempt to escape that fierce barrage; he managed to take a few steps before collapsing on a truck tire where he was later found by the carabinieri. Unconscious: he would never recover: after brain death was confirmed the Tuesday following the incident, he was officially declared dead on Wednesday by the medical commission of the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena.
From that point, the investigations by the local Carabinieri Company and the Ravenna Investigative Unit – coordinated by prosecutor Angela Scorza – have proceeded along the lines of aggravated murder in complicity.

Perhaps a senseless fury, but the motive is still unknown
The motive? For now, no one can know for sure, although the feeling is that it may have been a beating driven by a sudden and senseless fury. Unfortunately, no one witnessed the attack, so the Mobile Radio was not called for the beating but for some damage caused to the camper opposite Musiani’s, possibly by the same attackers of the 54-year-old who wanted to inflict further punishment but hit the wrong target (if so, we would be among the stormy peaks of the punitive raid).
The investigators are closing the circle
The body of the 54-year-old was found thanks to an indirect tip given in the context of the damage report: witnesses had spoken of a scuffle in a darker area of the lot, prompting the officers to check with flashlights until they came across Musiani.
