Ravenna, August 7, 2026 – Four young people between 19 and 23 years old residing in the province of Forlì-Cesena have been arrested by the carabinieri of the Cervia-Milano Marittima Company and the Ravenna Investigative Unit accused of being the perpetrators of the beating that cost the life during the night between July 18 and 19 last on the square of viale Tritone in Pinarella (on the Ravenna coast) of the 54-year-old Nicola Musiani.

Complex investigations by the carabinieri
The investigations by the officers proved, from the very beginning, difficult to carry out since the investigators only had some videos which, on one hand, showed part of the dynamics and violence of the events, but on the other hand did not allow a clear focus on the features of the perpetrators.
Cross-analysis of videos, testimonies and wiretaps
Starting from these images, the carabinieri went backwards and acquired and viewed other videos extracted from various public and private video surveillance cameras. This activity, cross-referenced with data extracted from various police databases, supported by numerous eyewitness testimonies from people who were identified during the investigations, and combined with telephone and ambient wiretaps and surveillance services, allowed the carabinieri to locate and identify the four who have now been arrested and taken to prison.
The investigations by the officers, coordinated by the Ravenna Public Prosecutor’s Office, will continue to ascertain further and possible responsible parties for the brutal murder.

The brutal beating in the viale Tritone parking lot in Pinarella
The motive is still unknown although the absence of previous contacts with the 54-year-old suggests a spontaneous motive; in fact, the unfortunate man tried to avoid the blows (kicks and punches even when he was on the ground in the viale Tritone parking lot in Pinarella) to the head and chest trying to escape but it was all useless: in the end, he collapsed on a truck tire where he was found.
The discovery of Musiani’s body and the death
The intervention of the Riviera Mobile Unit on the morning of July 19, in the viale Tritone parking lot in Pinarella, was not for the 54-year-old: but due to damage to a camper parked next to Musiani’s. In fact, on that occasion, someone present had reported that the same night, but further ahead, there had been a scuffle. At that point, the officers, after a brief inspection of the area, found the 54-year-old collapsed and beaten to death.
After a few days, on Wednesday, July 22, at the ‘Bufalini’ hospital in Cesena where the man was taken unconscious, death was declared due to cerebral hemorrhage.
