Bologna, August 9, 2026 – A massive brawl breaks out Saturday evening in piazza Lucio Dalla, after a 14-year-old girl was robbed and also attacked with pepper spray. The Bangladesh community festival was underway and everything was proceeding peacefully when, around 10 p.m., a fourteen-year-old girl was attacked for robbery and ended up in the hospital (fortunately her condition is not serious). However, relatives intervened in her defense and a brawl broke out during the festival.

Hunt for the attackers
In piazza Lucio Dalla both police and carabinieri arrived: now there is a hunt for the attackers, who fled after the scuffle. The authorities intervened following a report of a brawl. According to what the girl later reported, at one point during the festival they sprayed her with pepper spray and tore off her gold earrings and necklace. She said she was attacked by three people: a man and two women. The 14-year-old – she told the police – recognized that man, who is part of their community, as well as the two women who were with him. The three fled. Following the attack, chaos broke out when the family intervened to defend the girl: several people came to blows. The police are investigating, reviewing videos taken with cell phones the other night, to identify the attackers of the girl as soon as possible.
