Bologna, August 11, 2026 — A night that started with a report of loud music turned into an assault on a local police officer, who ended up in the Emergency Room with a displaced nasal septum fracture and a 25-day prognosis. The intervention took place around 2:15 AM, when a patrol arrived to check the presence of a group of people listening to loud music through an amplified speaker. Two men confronted the officers

At that point, the operators returned to the scene to contest the irregularity and proceed with the seizure of the speaker. During the intervention, however, two men, according to the local police, clearly intoxicated, began to have a provocative and obstructive attitude towards the officers. Meanwhile, the attacker was apprehended and arrested on charges of resistance, violence, and aggravated personal injury to a public official. The young man has a criminal record for property crimes and drug possession. The situation reportedly did not calm down even in the following phases. Taken to the police station for fingerprinting, the man allegedly continued to maintain a hostile attitude, refusing to undergo the procedures, which were later completed in the morning at the Local Police headquarters. Database checks also revealed several prior criminal records against him, related to property crimes and drug possession.

Arrest validated with mandatory reporting

The on-duty public prosecutor was informed, and the arrested man was held in the security cells on via Ferrari awaiting his appearance before the judge. The hearing led to the validation of the arrest and the application of the mandatory reporting measure.
