Pesaro, August 15, 2026 – A Ferragosto of sunshine, but without water. All the teams of Marche Multiservizi available have in fact been working nonstop since yesterday afternoon on the provincial aqueduct where, in the Bellocchi area of Fano, two consecutive breaks occurred.

The first break yesterday late afternoon
The first break occurred yesterday afternoon, around 6 pm: about twenty technicians and operators of the multiutility worked all night while, in the meantime, the continuity of the service was guaranteed by the San Gaetano reservoir which supplies Pesaro and the neighboring municipalities.
The second fault this morning around 9
As reported by Marche Multiservizi, the intervention would have allowed the break to be repaired without essentially ever cutting off the water. Unfortunately, the age of the pipeline, dating back to the 1970s – combined with the severe drought of this period and the consequent contraction of the ground, which subjects the pipes to considerable stress – led this morning, around 9, to a new break in the same area. The fault knocked out the system and at this moment the water supply is suspended in Pesaro and in some municipalities of the valley (Montelabbate, Vallefoglia and Tavullia).
A water tanker available at the Pesaro Campus
The work of the Marche Multiservizi teams is continuing nonstop to restore the service as soon as possible: in the meantime the multiutility has made a water tanker available to citizens at the Pesaro Campus and another one that will serve the municipalities of Vallefoglia, Montelabbate and Tavullia.
