Also in this case, the Municipality of Pesaro reports, “the fault is attributable to the severe drought affecting the area and the consequent contraction of the ground, which exerts strong pressure on the pipelines.”
Between late last night and this morning, following the repair of the second break, water was starting to flow again from the taps, albeit at low pressure.
The intervention of Marche Multiservizi
This morning’s new break caused a further interruption of the water supply service. “All teams from Marche Multiservizi continue to work tirelessly to carry out the repair as quickly as possible. An operational meeting with the involved parties is underway,” the Municipality informs.

The water truck is located at the campus on via Nanterre
All useful information will soon be communicated to the public, including details about the new water supply points that will be activated and distributed throughout the municipal territory, assures the mayor.
The water truck located at the school campus on via Nanterre remains active for the distribution of drinking water.
The Municipality finally specifies: “At the moment it is not possible to indicate the time required for the complete restoration of the service.”
The first two failures: what happened in the last two days
The first break occurred on the afternoon of Friday, August 14, around 6 p.m. The second failure was detected yesterday morning at 9 a.m., on Ferragosto day, in the same area, Bellocchi di Fano: it knocked out the system, interrupting the water supply to Pesaro and some municipalities in the valley (Montelabbate, Vallefoglia, and Tavullia).
