Cattolica (Rimini), August 16, 2026 – The quarrel over the missed right of way seemed like a typical argument between drivers: raised voices, some insults, and then off, without further consequences. Instead, this time it went decidedly further: a few hours later, in fact, it escalated to a brawl that also involved the respective families, culminating in a stab wound to the leg of one of the contenders.

The first episode: insults on the street, but it seemed to end there
This happened in Cattolica on the eve of Ferragosto: everything started in the afternoon, around 5:30 PM. Two drivers found themselves arguing over a right of way issue along one of the city streets.
Insults flew, but after a few minutes the two walked away. About two hours later, around 8 PM, however, the situation deteriorated, involving the family members of the two drivers.
The second round, extended to relatives
So amid shouting and pushing, a knife also appeared. As reported by Corriere di Romagna, one of the contenders was stabbed in the leg, sustaining a wound that triggered the alarm.
The carabinieri arrived on the scene to reconstruct what happened. Along with the officers, emergency medical personnel also arrived, who provided first aid to the injured. The man was then taken to the hospital, where the wound on his leg was treated and stitched.
Investigators will hear witnesses to reconstruct the facts
His condition was not reported as serious. According to initial reconstructions, the people involved would belong to local families and there would be old disputes between the two groups.
Now it will be up to the carabinieri to clarify the dynamics and especially the roles played by the participants in the brawl.
Under investigation are the testimonies of those present, the footage from surveillance cameras in the area, and the reconstruction of the moments preceding the attack.
