The 15-year-old who, overwhelmed by despair over the end of the relationship with his girlfriend, called the carabinieri while on vacation with his family at Lido degli Estensi, must have felt those same sensations.
The boy called the officers saying, overwhelmed by panic and agitation, that he feared losing control of his actions and needed to talk to someone.
The events date back to the late afternoon of August 16. Around 5:50 pm the young man called the emergency number 112 expressing all his distress, born from the disappointment of the breakup with his girlfriend.
The operator at the control center started a dialogue with him that lasted over ten minutes, gradually managing to calm him down and convince him to stay on the street waiting for help.
While the carabiniere maintained phone contact, the operations center sent a patrol and an ambulance from 118, which arrived within minutes. The paramedics provided first aid without finding the need for hospital transport. The boy, now calm, was handed back to his parents, who arrived shortly after.
