This is the provocation from Victor Lab, the venue on Viale Ceccarini that came under fire on social media after the gaffe appeared on the order left on the table of a family of Brazilian origin living in Florence. The order included the request for very well-cooked eggs without salad and especially ‘this one broke my c… burns the eggs and spits in them’. That order was left on the table and the customers promptly protested.
The venue’s ironic video
The management of the venue immediately apologized, did not charge the bill and dismissed the seventeen-year-old waiter. The review quickly went viral on social media with a flood of comments. And it is on social media that the venue decided to respond.

The manager in front of him asks: ‘With spit or without?’. Clearly, the video is ironic as the manager says it with a smile explaining it is a joke. But it is a way to throw the ball back to those commenting on social media. The young man regretted the gaffe and apologized to his colleagues.

The online community is divided between those who would forgive the young man and those who would not give him a second chance.
