Treviso, August 25, 2026 – A 5-year-old girl accidentally fell from the fifth floor of an apartment building, stopping on the terrace of the second floor. It happened around 11:30 AM today at number 11 on Corso Mazzini in Montebelluna, in the Treviso area.
The parents, who were at home at the time, reportedly did not notice anything.
The girl was taken to the hospital in Treviso in serious condition, in life-threatening condition. The Montebelluna carabinieri are on site for investigations.
What happened?
According to initial reconstructions, the girl climbed over the railing of the small terrace on the fifth floor, falling onto the corresponding one three floors below: about 10 meters.
At the time of the fall, the parents (the father Chinese and the mother Cambodian) were sitting at the dining table and told the carabinieri they did not realize their daughter’s movements. The call for help was actually made by other residents, alarmed by the girl’s crying.
