It happened on via Gabriele D’Annunzio, less than 200 meters from via Italo Svevo, where on July 19 Abderrahim Fakir died during a police stop. In the neighborhood, on Sunday, a high-tension episode occurred.

It all started when a 22-year-old, Bolognese citizen, called for help explaining that he did not want to return home in the condition he was in, namely in a state of strong agitation.

Volunteers from the public assistance Croce Italia – Odv arrived on the scene. After an initial phase in which the young man appeared cooperative, the situation completely reversed.

The young man, in fact, verbally attacked the paramedics, covering them with insults. Then, he also tried to throw a punch at the ambulance driver, fortunately without succeeding. At that point, the 22-year-old lunged at the ambulance. Outcome: dented bodywork and a shattered side mirror.

Help was then requested from the carabinieri, contacted by the volunteers. The officers of the Mobile Unit who intervened tried to calm the young man through dialogue, but it was useless: the subject continued to behave violently and for this reason the carabinieri were forced to stop him using pepper spray. Once restrained, the young man was taken to the emergency room of Sant’Orsola for further checks.

He was finally reported to the Prosecutor’s Office for aggravated damage and resistance to a public official.
