The man, Italian and resident of Pianoro, in the Bologna area, was an employee of a gardening company and was engaged in a task to restore the pavement of a green area.
Carabinieri and 118 on site
The alarm was raised around 5:10 PM on August 27. The carabinieri from the Pianoro station and the mobile operations unit of San Lazzaro di Savena intervened on site, along with the 118 medical personnel.
Death probably caused by the heat
Rescuers tried to resuscitate the 46-year-old, but all efforts proved useless. According to what was established by the medical personnel who intervened, the death was caused by a sudden illness, possibly also due to the oppressive heat of these days. The carabinieri carried out the necessary investigations regarding the incident.
