Rimini, August 29, 2026 – The police stop him before a new hit in Rimini. He is also suspected of two previous assaults in the Marecchiese area. He allegedly left his 10-year-old son in the car to rob a pharmacy. This is one of the incidents attributed to a 49-year-old man originally from Foggia and residing in the Forlì area, arrested by the Rimini Mobile Squad after several days of investigation.

The investigations
The man had come under the investigators’ radar for the robberies of pharmacies in the Marecchiese area on August 24 and 26. The investigations were guided by footage from cameras, collected testimonies, and data from the Targa System.
The breakthrough and the toy gun
On the afternoon of August 28, the breakthrough came. According to the investigators, the 49-year-old was preparing to strike again when he was intercepted by the officers. At the sight of the police, he tried to drive away, then resisted during the check.

In the car, the investigators found a black toy gun without a red cap and some clothing believed to be compatible with those used during the previous assaults.
During one of the hits he had the child with him
Among the elements that emerged from the investigation, there is one particularly significant: during one of the contested hits, the 49-year-old allegedly brought his minor son with him, leaving him waiting in the car while he robbed the pharmacy. The man was arrested in the act for attempted robbery and resistance to a public official and subsequently transferred to the Rimini prison. Investigations continue into his alleged involvement in the other robberies.
