Just like what happened with Spider Man last June, when the American actress, for the Italian promotion, wore a Giorgio Armani “spider-inspired” outfit from Spring-Summer 1990.

From the Cruise collection 18 years ago

For the presentation of Christopher Nolan’s Odissea yesterday in New York, a nice surprise arrived for us from Emilia Romagna: Zendaya wore a “very peplos” mini dress in chiffon by Alberta Ferretti from the 2008 Cruise collection, paired with Sophia Webster lace-up sandals, as revealed by WWD-Women’s Wear Daily.

Sequins cascading from the bodice to the skirt

Fitted at the waist with a belt motif for greater definition, the dress showed cascading sequin applications extending from the bodice to the skirt, creating a fringe-like effect for a Jet-Set Bohemian mood, typical of that collection which the designer from Gradara in Romagna, nicknamed “Madame chiffon,” had conceived inspired by relaxed and luxurious elegance, drawing from the jet set of the Seventies.

From the Givenchy ensemble to the London premiere outfit

This is the latest in a series of dresses with which Zendaya has dazzled during the long press tour for Odissea. Unforgettable was the ensemble from the Haute Couture Spring 1997 collection by Givenchy designed by Alexander McQueen (“The Search for the Golden Fleece” was inspired by Greek mythology and marked the revolutionary debut of Alexander McQueen at the helm of the maison), which also includes a headpiece-mask by Phillip Treacy recalling ancient bronze helmets and which the actress wore in Paris for the photocall.

Absolutely “impressing” then, the London premiere outfit with the Schiaparelli Haute Couture dress by Daniel Roseberry: a white silicone bust with a glazed porcelain effect and a skirt with white and silver bead fringes.

And what about the after-party look with the dress from the “Interferences Autumn Winter 2026-27” collection by Alessandro Michele for Valentino, draped with an olive green bodice and leaf-shaped appliqués? She really is the new Athena.
