And the leader of the Five Star Movement, just arrived, also comments to journalists on the work of the current Lepore administration, with the mayor himself behind Conte. “The judgment is very positive, we want to still give our contribution. We also look favorably on this commitment, as we see positive results and therefore we absolutely trust that there will be willingness also from the citizens to renew the mandate,” Giuseppe Conte explained last night from Borgo Panigale.

He was timely and sensitive, giving the population the opportunity to come together, without blaming anyone and with principles of solidarity,” Conte explained, then recalling the squares in the days following the death of the 42-year-old in Pilastro. But the support ahead of the 2027 local elections is clear: “We will support you, for a renewal. You are doing well,” Conte said, looking at Lepore seated in the audience. And the mayor, upon leaving the Festa dell’Unità, told Il Carlino: “We are working very well together, thanks also to Giulia Sarti. We are already building the path for 2027 together. A strong and united coalition is confirmed in Bologna.”

That center-left and broad field alliance which, through the primaries, will also be replicated at the national level. But first by drafting a common program. “There is no need to be afraid of the primaries, they are a tool for participation. I am very optimistic. The Five Star Movement is one of the fundamental subjects of this coalition,” said PD deputy Andrea De Maria. And, as Conte says, before taking a tour among stands, volunteers, and Young Democrats, “the glue that the broad field must have is to change the country. And we can do it together.”
