Bologna, September 12, 2026 – “Truth and justice for Fakir“, a general strike is approaching. This was announced by a delegate of the grassroots union Sì Cobas at the end of the plenary assembly held during the day of mobilization at the Faculty of Letters “occupied” for the occasion.

After the tables of discussion and debate, the activists gathered in assembly, from which many new appointments emerged, aiming to involve other souls of grassroots unionism, of the migrant communities and local activism: the date of the next initiative “will be announced in the coming days,” but so far two assemblies are scheduled – at the moment – for September 18 and 30. “We will continue the mobilization until we have truth and justice for Abderrahim – says Alexander, Si Cobas delegate at a logistics company at the Interporto -, with all the means necessary, respecting the law and peacefully.”
The upcoming scheduled appointments
Among the mobilizations, new blockades at the Interporto (“we believe that even the owner of the Transport and Logistics sector is complicit in Fakir’s murder,” thunders the worker), as happened during the night between July 20 and 21, while urban guerrilla warfare was taking place in the historic center (for which 26 people have already been reported to the Prosecutor’s Office). Additionally, a protest in front of the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters located on via Bovi Campeggi. In the coming days “a call for a general strike will be issued. It is still too early to say the date, because it involves mobilizing all the grassroots unions, exploited migrant workers. On the front line for Fakir, but also for other issues at the national level, such as the high cost of living and fuel, bills, and much more.”

In short, “we will understand how to make a summary of these appointments,” explains Anna from Cua, who announces the continuation of today’s day with a benefit concert and fundraising for the family of Fakir.
