Modena, July 17, 2026 – Homicide this morning at dawn in Modena in an apartment building on via Tignale del Garda in the southern area of the city, where an Italian man between 30 and 35, residing nearby and a regular visitor of the building, was killed on the condominium stairs. The victim, at the time of discovery, was without documents.
The body was found this morning at 5 by residents in the building. He was lying on the stairs, in a supine position. The stabbing is reportedly confirmed, apparently to the face. Neighbors heard shouts and the phrase: “Go away!”. The hypothesis is a homicide linked to a drug-related quarrel.
The neighbors report constant comings and goings in the building, presumably related to drug dealing. Almost every day police and carabinieri are seen in the area, a working-class neighborhood of Acer apartment buildings.
The officers are currently questioning a woman who lives in the condominium in an attempt to gather useful elements for the investigation, which is still ongoing pending further developments.
Carabinieri immediately intervened at the crime scene, cordoning off and closing the entire area to the public to allow the scientific unit to carry out the necessary investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the event.
