Riccione, July 17, 2026 – “Beach club, pools and innovation on the beach.” Mauro Bianchi from Samsara talks about “a new beach model that can respond to a way of vacationing that has changed profoundly over the years.”
Bianchi, how is this summer going?
“I would say in line with the previous one, at least in our case. Which means limited midweek attendance and good weekends. This has been happening for several years now.”

Lights and shadows on the sand, while hotel attendance grows, how do you explain it?
“There are several aspects to consider, but first of all the beach product needs to be innovated.”
With the beach clubs?
“There are some on the more well-known beaches, but in Riccione they are few. It can be improved, services, ideas, real pools are needed, not small water mirrors. We have clients in hotels who stay in the pools, think about why they do it? I wouldn’t want an entire coastline of beach clubs, a varied offer is fine, but investment is necessary.”

Has this not been done?
“Many hotels have changed, following tourists’ needs, for example removing full board. Restaurants have also changed. The beach has done so much less. Today whatever you do as an entrepreneur, you cannot open thinking it will then fill up. Those times are over.”
What awaits us?
“We look at what tourists are looking for. Between 25 and 40 years old they take more weekends around the world and Italy. In general, the vacation is concentrated and varied. You cannot remain tuned to a clientele that takes the whole week.”
