The young woman, on holiday on the Riviera with some friends, went to the emergency room on Monday morning, reporting that she had been the victim of an assault that occurred during the night.
From fun to a dramatic epilogue in the young woman’s story
According to what she told investigators, she met a boy in the center of Rimini and, after spending a few hours together between clubs and drinks, followed him to a residence.
It was there that, according to her report, she was forced to endure sexual intercourse against her will.
After leaving the facility, the 23-year-old reportedly contacted her friends, who met her in the via Fiume area, before her subsequent admission to the hospital.
But her memories are reportedly confused
The investigations are made more complex by the fact that the girl reported having fragmented memories and being unable to precisely indicate neither the residence nor the identity of the young man with whom she had spent the evening.
The carabinieri are now verifying every useful element, from camera footage to possible testimonies, while medical examinations will serve to provide further evidence.
At the moment, no one is under investigation, and investigators urge maximum caution, emphasizing that the matter is still in the initial phase of investigation.
