Bologna, June 5, 2026 – A new phase of instability begins in Emilia-Romagna. The regional Civil Protection has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, valid from 12 PM today until midnight on Sunday, with particular attention to the northern sectors of the region, where the phenomena may be more intense and locally organized.
The measure comes in light of a rapidly changing atmospheric picture, which in the coming hours will favor the development of even strong thunderstorms. The most delicate phase is expected in the afternoon and Friday evening, when unstable currents at high altitude will interact with the warmer and more humid air present in the lower layers.
Then, next week too, this condition of instability will continue, at least until Thursday, according to Arpae’s weather trend.

The weather alert bulletin
“For the second part of Friday, June 5, “even strong thunderstorms are expected, with possible associated effects and damage, more probable in the northern plain areas — reads the note —. In the coastal sectors, strong winds (50-61 km/h) from the southeast are also not excluded, with possible temporary reinforcements or gusts of higher intensity. For Saturday, June 6, no significant phenomena are expected for alert purposes, however, residual showers, including thunderstorms, are not excluded in the early hours of the day.”
A situation therefore evolving which, after the disturbed passage, gradually tends to improve, even without excluding residual phenomena, especially during the night between Friday and Saturday. The weather for the coming days.

Saturday, June 6: what the weather will be like
The weather is initially variable, with irregular cloudiness especially in the early hours of the day, but without widespread precipitation. During the day, the trend is towards a gradual improvement, with extensive clearings expected by the evening. Temperatures remain at summer values, with lows between 13 and 18 degrees and highs slightly increasing, between 27 and 30 degrees. The thermal picture confirms a return to more stable conditions after the unstable passage. Winds are light and variable in direction, without particular critical issues. The sea is choppy in the morning, but with wave motion progressively attenuating during the afternoon until calmer conditions.
Sunday, June 7 weather forecast
Sunday, June 7 opens with mostly clear or partly cloudy skies over most of the regional territory. However, during the afternoon there will be an increase in cloudiness, especially in the central-western sectors, where localized showers or thunderstorms are not excluded.
Temperatures remain stable in the lows, between 16 and 18 degrees, while highs are increasing and may reach peaks of 32-33 degrees in the innermost plain areas, marking a new increase in heat. Winds will be light, predominantly from the eastern quadrants, with possible reinforcements near thunderstorm phenomena. The sea will be slightly choppy or almost calm, with generally favorable conditions along the coast.
