Modena, September 9, 2026 – Serious road accident this morning along the Romana Nord state road, after the town of Fossoli, near the Ca.Re. plant. A violent collision between a car and a motorcycle caused the injury of a very young motorcyclist, who had to be urgently transported by helicopter to the Maggiore Hospital in Bologna. For reasons currently being investigated by the local police officers of the Terre d’Argine Union, the two vehicles, a small car and the two-wheeler, collided along the road artery. Following the rear-end collision, the worst off was the motorcycle rider, A.O., a 19-year-old girl residing in Rolo.

The young woman was thrown off the saddle, falling heavily on the asphalt. Immediate rescue intervention: an ambulance from 118 arrived on the scene. The medical staff, having found the nineteen-year-old’s critical condition, requested the intervention of the air ambulance. The air ambulance landed nearby and urgently transported the injured to the specialist center of the Bologna hospital. The young woman is hospitalized in intensive care and is in critical condition.
No physical consequences for the car driver, a 43-year-old man (A.M.) residing in Carpi.
The local police officers took care of the surveys to reconstruct the dynamics of the impact and the management of traffic.
The Romana Nord thus confirms itself once again as a particularly critical artery with a high risk of accidents, due to the continuous flow of light and heavy vehicles at all hours of the day.
