It was around 1:30 PM when the firefighters from the Amandola Detachment were alerted by some residents who had noticed white smoke rising from the roof of the religious building located in the historic center of Amandola.

The architectural context of the structure, however, made operations difficult, so that three more teams from Fermo were called for support, one of which with a ladder truck, and they quickly extinguished the flames; by around 4 PM everything was back to normal.
