Bologna, July 30, 2026 – The first to arrive was lawyer Fabio Anselmo at the appointment set by the prosecutor’s office at 11 for the assignment to engineer Ferraro to carry out the examination of the phone of Abderrahim Fakir, the 42-year-old Moroccan who died in Pilastro on July 19.
The prosecutor’s office ‘no’ to changing the investigative body
The lawyer for the victim’s family first focused on the ‘no’ from the prosecutor’s office to changing the investigative body suggested in recent days by Anselmo, stating: “I agree with what the judicial authority said and the reconstruction of the thought on impartiality reassured me.”
Anselmo: “Delicate examination”
Anselmo then highlighted the importance of analyzing Fakir’s phone which will begin today: “This is a very delicate examination. Now I am concerned about this task rather than proposing a change of body again. This is a task that is by no means straightforward and depends on who does it.”
On colleague Bordoni’s request
Then, a jab at the request of colleague Gabriele Bordoni, lawyer for the two officers who intervened in Pilastro, who asked to extend the technical examination also to all images and videos of Fakir’s tragedy. “If Bordoni wants, he can also put my phone under examination”.
The new examination
The parties, represented by lawyer Anselmo for the family of the 42-year-old and lawyer Bordoni for the two police officers, will instead appoint engineers Cimino and Spalletti as their consultants.
The goal of the new examination will be to delve into the secrets of Fakir’s phone to determine in particular the man’s last hours before arriving at Pilastro. And also the reason behind the 42-year-old’s visit to the working-class neighborhood on the city’s outskirts.
