Cesena, August 17, 2026 – Tensions, assaults at the workplace and acts of vandalism on the beach. It was a hellish Ferragosto for the law enforcement and rescuers of Cesenatico, called to intervene on multiple fronts to contain episodes of violence and bad nightlife.
The episode on the night between August 14 and 15
The most serious episode took place at the Hotel Cavallino di Valverde, at the corner between Bernini and Tiziano streets. On the night between August 14 and 15, a violent argument erupted among the employees of the establishment and escalated into a physical assault: a female worker was hit in the face by a colleague. On site emergency medical personnel from 118 arrived urgently, providing first aid to the injured woman, along with a patrol from the Cesenatico Carabinieri Company.

The aggressor had left the premises but returned shortly after
The aggressor initially left, then returned to the hotel shortly after to retrieve clothes and personal belongings. His return immediately reignited tensions, making a second intervention by the military necessary. The Carabinieri managed to restore calm and interviewed witnesses to reconstruct the dynamics of the event and ascertain criminal responsibilities.
Checks on pubs and vandalism on the free beach
Meanwhile, the State Police – assisted by the Local Police under the direction of the Chief of Police – tightened controls on bad nightlife. Officers, also in plain clothes, entered the Molo Club on the Leonardo Canal Port, catching several habitual drug users.
In the club’s restrooms, cocaine was found and seized: a young resident of Milan admitted the substance was hers and was reported to the Prefecture. A package containing 4 grams of hashish was also found on the ground and seized from unknown persons, while outside 30 people were identified, several of whom had criminal records.
“The massive presence of officers – notes Commissioner Paolo Di Masi – acted as a deterrent against the bold and aggressive behavior of groups of young people who often provoke fights and clashes.”
Completing the picture of the night were acts of vandalism at Villamarina, on the free beach ‘Zona Cesarini’. A group of agitators carried out a real raid: attempted arson on a wooden pole, bar tables managed by the Beach Establishments Cooperative destroyed and chairs thrown into the air. Some residents and tourists also reported hearing gunshots in the area on social media, although the most likely hypothesis under investigation remains the explosion of firecrackers and high-powered fireworks. A climate of degradation that raises serious concerns among local operators.
