Fake news against the Riviera
Fake news against Rimini, with the clear intent to denigrate the Riviera and push tourists to vacation elsewhere. And now the two influencers risk trial for aggravated defamation.
They were reported by the Rimini Hoteliers Association, through lawyers Maurizio and Martina Ghinelli. The videos in question date back to late June and late July. The authors are influencers boasting hundreds of thousands of followers.

For Patrizia Rinaldis, president of Federalberghi Rimini, “it is time that social media be used correctly and responsibly, without causing unjustified harm. Rimini is experiencing a season of great influx and has this year also regained the prestigious Blue Flag, a testament to the quality of its sea and services. Those who spread falsehoods will be held accountable in the appropriate venues: respect is needed for a destination that continues to be a flagship of Italian tourism and respect for the tourists who choose it as their holiday destination and respect for comedians and influencers who do not need to use such tricks for a click.”
Federalberghi is no stranger to these actions. In the past, it had already reported other authors of fake videos and photos against Rimini, and in some cases had won the lawsuits, then donating the compensation obtained to charity.
