There were wills. Among houses, artworks, and many other assets. An inheritance that has now been revealed. The last wishes of Maestrone Francesco Guccini, who died on August 6 at the age of 86, in his home in Pavana, in the Apennines between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, were contained in two documents.

The heirs’ interests in the house on via Paolo Fabbri 43
And precisely on a house, the one that made history with the eponymous album via Paolo Fabbri 43, there were the greatest interests of some of the heirs. A topic that had created tensions since the first days after the death of the Italian singer-songwriter. That iconic residence which, in the 2015 will, had been left to the wife Raffaella Zuccari. A historic place, both for its history and the importance of the property, as witnessed in the days following Guccini’s passing, with hundreds of people holding a true procession in front of this magical place in Bologna, in the Cirenaica district, just steps from the historic trattoria da Vito, where the Maestrone spent hundreds of evenings in the company of Lucio Dalla, drinking wine and playing the Bolognese Tarocchino until late at night.
Francesco Guccini’s two wills
The first will dated back to 2015, signed by notary Lorenzo Luca. The second was instead drawn up in the following years by colleague Luigi Stame. The latter turned out to be the decisive one. By law, a more recent will effectively cancels previous ones, in this case only one.
Thus, in the will opened this morning and older, dating back more than 10 years ago – but precisely for this reason unpublished –, there were not Guccini’s last wishes, but, so to speak, the penultimate ones. Namely, “many things for his daughter Teresa,” says notary Luca, who confirms her presence in his office. A public will, drawn up before Luca himself and two witnesses in 2015. Here, however, Guccini named his wife Raffaella Zuccari as heir of the house on via Paolo Fabbri, 43.
“My will was revoked by a more recent one – continues notary Luca referring to the one filed by colleague Stame –. Mine, in fact, was not published.” The notary recalls his experiences alongside Guccini, “for whom I made and signed many deeds, but it’s been a while since I last saw him,” Luca concludes.
The fans: the house on via Paolo Fabbri should become a museum
It was precisely Teresa’s mother, Angela Signorini, who in a recent interview said how much her daughter wanted the house on via Paolo Fabbri. That home where she had grown up. Even knowing that the difficulties in obtaining it would be many. Some of Guccini’s fans and followers had also opted, in the days following his passing, to make that space a house-museum available to the many who loved him and his music.
In the second will, the last one, dating back to 2019 and opened Monday by notary Stame, the wife Raffaella Zuccari was certainly present. While waiting for the division of assets and its content to be made public, the issue of Teresa’s inheritance therefore remains open.
And, as evidence of this, are the tensions that today, with the opening of the two wills, have arisen. While it should be noted that Raffaella, until now, has always chosen the path of a heartfelt and strict silence. Never entering into any controversy.
