Ravenna, August 17, 2026 – Grainy, far from clear: imperfect and shaky images, frames contested by darkness. The third video of the murder emerges
As for the latter, they are all in preventive custody in prison by order of judge Andrea Galanti: they are 22-year-old Ragme Oussana, 19-year-old Finn Long Conor, 21-year-old Abir Houssam, and 23-year-old Mahboubi Bilal.
There are three videos: the first two acquired on July 19 itself a few hours after the beating that took place around 4:30 am (one recorded by the dash cam of a truck parked inside that square on Viale Tritone and one from a boy’s phone). The third came into the hands of investigators weeks later and under circumstances that we are able to describe for the first time thanks to the precautionary order.
The request to delete chats and videos
It was made by a girl who was on the square that night: and while she watches some young people collecting objects from bins then thrown against Musiani, she starts recording with her phone. But at some point she recognizes the boyfriend of an acquaintance of hers. So she sends to his girlfriend – S. – some messages, including the just recorded video, to inform her of what is happening. Once home, she writes in vain to S. to understand from her what had happened. Later both a friend of S. and S. herself ask her to delete videos and chats from that night, sending a screenshot as proof. The witness, although sorry, does so. Only to then go to the deleted files to recover the video.
The report to the Carabinieri and the identification of one of the culprits
Then on August 2, returning from a vacation, after learning of Musiani’s death, she decides to go to the Carabinieri. Once there, the investigators of the Ravenna Investigative Unit, coordinated by prosecutor Angela Scorza, also show her the other two videos: the girl is able to indicate the identity of one of the young men later arrested. Two other boys from Forlì do the same on August 6, extending their recognition to other names within what the judge defined as a “treacherous and cowardly attack” characterized by “crude and brutal violence.”
The motive? Senseless, trivial, indecipherable
According to the preliminary medical-legal report by Dr. Dario Raniero, Musiani also suffered fractures of the ribs from the third to the eighth; collapse of the left lung; fracture of the right cheekbone; scattered bruises and above all a severe cranial hemorrhage. The motive? Senseless, trivial, indecipherable, “of absolute emptiness.”
