Bologna, July 15, 2026 – It was just past midnight on Sunday when a 35-year-old man from Bologna was walking alone along via Mazzini, near number 50, to reach his home in the area. A situation that must have seemed ideal to a group of young North Africans who at the same time were traveling along the same via Mazzini on two scooters.

The gang attacked the victim and assaulted him with kicks and punches
The small group, consisting of four people in total, including one girl, seeing the 35-year-old alone, approached him with a threatening attitude and without much thought they all attacked together the victim. The man initially tried to put up resistance against the gang before being overwhelmed with kicks and punches by the four youths, later described as indeed very young foreigners.
The robbers fled into the night on scooters
After throwing him to the ground, the attackers then ‘searched’ the victim by pulling the phone out of his pocket, then hurried back to the scooters and disappeared into the darkness of the night on the vehicles. Dazed from the blows received, the 35-year-old then called for help and the carabinieri of the Radiomobile intervened on the scene, who are now in charge of the investigation to track down the criminals.

Fortunately, the 35-year-old did not suffer serious injuries following the beating and no hospitalization in the emergency room was necessary. Now, however, the investigations by the military police are underway, who have acquired the cameras in the area to identify the four robbers on scooters.
