Cesenatico, July 18, 2026 – Tragedy this morning in Cesenatico. One person lost their life in a road accident. The crash – which occurred at 5:30 a.m. – involved two cars, a Volvo and the Seat on which the victim was traveling, on the Adriatic State Road, southbound: the section at km 179.500 is temporarily closed to traffic in both directions.
In the crash, in which the two vehicles collided head-on, one person lost their life while two others were injured.
The personnel of the Cesenatico fire brigade detachment and the Cesena central station extracted the lifeless body from the wreckage and secured the crash area and the vehicles involved.
Also on site were personnel from Anas, law enforcement, and emergency medical services to restore traffic as soon as possible.
Traffic is currently diverted onto local roads, with mandatory exit at km 182.000 for vehicles heading north and exit at km 179.000 for those heading south.
