Pinarella di Cervia (Ravenna), August 1, 2026 – A dense silence, interrupted only by applause, the song ‘Candle in the Wind’ and whispered words, accompanied the final farewell to Nicola Musiani in the parking lot of viale Tritone, the place where he had chosen to live in a caravan and which, in recent days, had become the center of the pain of an entire community. For about an hour at least two hundred people gathered around the coffin, on which the Bologna flag had been laid, a sign of a recognized and shared passion. The father, the aunt, friends, acquaintances, local residents and citizens who came from outside also wanted to be there, one after the other, to bring a flower, a memory, a handshake or simply a presence.
At the center of that long collective embrace was Giorgio, Nicola’s father. Dozens of people approached him to express condolences and closeness, on an afternoon full of affection and emotion. Worn faces, teary eyes and simple gestures composed the portrait of a wounded but present community.
Among those present was also Mayor Mirko Boschetti, who participated in the moment of reflection and stayed close to the family and citizens. His presence gave the sense of a pain that was not only private but public: that of a locality that recognizes the need for truth and closeness.

The signs read: “We want justice”
In the parking lot of viale Tritone, where Nicola lived and where his story was known by many, the farewell also turned into a collective demand. “We want justice”, read the signs held by several people.

A short phrase, repeated firmly, that crossed the afternoon along with the pain for a death that continues to shake Pinarella. The farewell thus carried two inseparable feelings: affection for Nicola and the demand for justice for what happened. Around the coffin, between the red and blue flag and the hands extended towards Giorgio, Pinarella showed its most human face: that of a community capable of stopping, remembering and asking that the truth not remain unanswered.
