Rimini, July 22, 2026 – Investigations by the local police of Rimini are underway to clarify what happened this afternoon in Viserba, where a child of about 3 years old was injured after an accident with a tourist train.
The incident occurred around 4:30 PM, in the parking lot of via Sacco e Vanzetti. According to initial reconstructions, the child was getting off the train with his mother when, for reasons yet to be clarified, he would have slipped or got caught during the descent. In the subsequent restart of the vehicle, the child would have been hit.
After the accident, the situation did not seem to cause particular concern. The family, in fact, after a discussion with the train driver, left the parking lot and returned home. Shortly after, however, the child began to complain of pain and the family decided to return to the scene, requesting the intervention of emergency services.

The call to 118 arrived around 5 PM. The operations center activated a red code intervention, sending both an ambulance and air ambulance. Agents from the local police’s Accident Investigation Unit also intervened at the scene of the accident, supported by other patrols that regulated traffic and ensured the helicopter’s landing operations.
