San Giovanni (Bologna), July 26, 2026 – A night of madness in the center of Persiceto, where a car speeding at crazy speed overturned, risking causing a massacre among bar patrons. Videos and photos of an ordinary chaotic Friday night have been circulating on social media for 24 hours, gathering hundreds of indignant comments from Persiceto residents who complain about a situation that is now unmanageable from a security perspective.

The panic was caused by a white 500L which, according to reports circulating in the city, began to circle the Piazza Garibaldi roundabout at high speed, eventually overturning several times.
The thugs on board, some of whom are well-known in the city for their unruly behavior, reportedly suffered no injuries and, once out of the vehicle, righted the car in front of dozens of astonished spectators, then dragged it to Pettazzoni Park, where the damaged car was abandoned. In light of this episode and the risk incurred, the managers of the nearby Superbar, increasingly besieged by groups of young people dedicated to alcohol and brawls, decided to take drastic action, announced yesterday on their social channels: “Unfortunately, it happened again, groups of out-of-control kids – reads the venue’s Facebook page –. Given the recent incidents that have occurred in our establishment and nearby (Piazza Garibaldi), we can no longer guarantee the safety of the kids, our customers and friends, and ourselves. Therefore, we have reluctantly decided to close our bar at 10:30 PM every evening, at least until the end of August. We are confident that the situation can improve for everyone’s well-being. We thank the police and institutions who have always intervened promptly.”
Upon the arrival of rescuers and law enforcement, the occupants of the vehicle were no longer on site, but investigations are underway to identify them and checks are being made on the vehicle to verify if it was stolen. “We express solidarity with the car owners and all the staff of the Superbar – announced the opposition council group ‘Idee in marcia per Persiceto e frazioni’ –. We have full confidence in the work of the police to ascertain responsibilities.”
