Imola, August 2, 2026 – Complicated days are announced for drivers using the A14. Starting tomorrow, a new phase of the modernization work on the overpass at the highway interchange will begin, with the temporary closure of the Imola toll station during certain time slots. This intervention is necessary for the safety of the infrastructure but is expected to cause inconvenience to drivers who will have to change their usual routes.
Closure times
The closure will start from 12 noon tomorrow until 6 a.m. on Tuesday and will repeat with the same schedule for four consecutive days: from 12 noon to 6 a.m. the following morning also between Tuesday and Wednesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and Thursday and Friday. During these time slots, the entrance to the Imola toll station heading towards Bologna will be closed, and exit will be prohibited for vehicles coming from Ancona.

The station will remain regularly accessible during the time slot between 6 a.m. and 12 noon, considered the one with the highest volumes of traffic entering and exiting the toll station. For those who find themselves needing to use the highway during closure hours, alternative routes are planned. Drivers heading towards Bologna can use the entrance at the Castel San Pietro Terme station, while those traveling on the A14 coming from Ancona and needing to reach the Imola area are advised to use the Faenza exit as an alternative.
